If you found your way here from a social media post, or if you're just browsing and stumbled upon this blog let me provide you with a little context. This letter was written to my third baby, whom I am pictured holding in this blog. At the time of writing this post, I was post-dates with her, desperately seeking to meet her. I'd stumbled across a way to release any subconscious blockage that could be preventing labor from starting on its own. The article/blog/post (can't remember which it was 🥴) I read, suggested writing a letter to your unborn child expressing what was on your heart. Here's my letter to my baby girl, this was written in the wee hours of the morning, she was born later that same night.

Dear Baby,

It is time to be born. I don’t know what is keeping us from meeting each other in the physical realm, but I know you are ready to survive with the help of your father and me, outside of the womb.

I don’t know if it is me with subconscious fears holding us back, but I release anything preventing birth.

I don’t know if it is womb, but you have carried and supported me through 3 pregnancies, and I thank womb and honor womb for that. I know that only womb can decide to flow into contractions, please womb help me to release our baby in love and in peace.

Baby, you are as mysterious as the universe. I know I’ve said through this journey that you don’t talk to me, perhaps it was I who was not listening, please forgive me if I have not listened to you. Baby you are ready to be born, you have everything that you need. You have 2 excited big brothers who are ready to meet you. Please release and trust that this birth will be ok.

Mind and body. We can do this. We have done it before on our terms, we will do it again on our terms.

My vision for this birth for the vessel that’s carrying baby, for baby, and for uterus, is to be at peace. To be guided by innate ancestral and universal wisdom. For Queen mother energy to be ever present. For us to be protected and guided. For every good possible outcome to occur.

Thank you creator for given me this blessing. Thank you for allowing me to be the vessel for which this spirit/soul/body has chosen to come through. I am open to the lesson that birth will teach me.

I know that we have not been abandoned, man’s time is not the ultimate time.

Selah, Amen
